Gabriella Angioli, Codici rinascimentali della chiesa di San
Francesco a Lucignano in Val di Chiana, in Miniatura, 5/6 (1993/1996),
pp. 27-40
"Miniatura" 5/6 (1993/1996) published an interesting article by Gabriella
Angioli (pp. 27-40) concerning two Antiphonaries made for the church of S. Francesco in
Lucignano, now in the Chapter Archives (I-19) and in the Pinacoteca Comunale (ms. 1781) in
Arezzo (Italy).
The article concerns the illumination of the two manuscripts, whose author has been
recently identified with Friar Pietro Pulcetta of Lucignano, thanks to a comparison with
some illuminated fragments collected in the ms. Rossiano 1195 of the Vatican
Library.
The "vatican" sheets are apparently the same cut from the two Antiphonaries
two centuries ago; the sources nowaday available concerning that illuminator seem to
confirm this identification.
